PROJECT
As the Web Developer Director for WiCS, I led the creation of the official website for the Women in Technology Conference organized by WiCS (Women in Computer Science) at Florida International University (FIU).
The project aimed to establish an online presence for the conference, providing attendees with information, updates, and a seamless registration process.

TECHNOLOGY STACK:
The website was developed using the React JavaScript library, ensuring a modular and efficient front-end structure.
The site was deployed on GitHub Pages, allowing for easy hosting and version control through the integration of GitHub repositories.
Here's a brief description of how each of the pain points and development aspects were addressed:
š©š»āš» User-Friendly Registration Interface:
To ensure an easy-to-understand interface for user registration, the development team focused on creating a streamlined registration process with clear instructions and intuitive form fields. User testing and feedback were incorporated to refine the registration flow further.
ā° Timely Project Completion:
Meeting the project deadline was prioritized from the outset. The development process was carefully planned with clear milestones and regular progress updates. Agile methodologies were utilized to iteratively develop and refine the website.
š§ Navigational Ease:
To enhance user experience, sections of the website were separated with hyperlinks, allowing users to easily locate specific information. This approach facilitated navigation and ensured that users could quickly find the content they were looking for without feeling overwhelmed by a cluttered interface.
š§ Incorporating Diverse Ideas:
Managing input from e-board members can be challenging. Collaborative tools allowed all members to contribute ideas. Effective communication achieved a cohesive vision that incorporated the best ideas.
š Key Feature Prioritization:
Identifying and including essential features such as registration, attendee guide, event schedule, and social media links was crucial. These features were given priority in the development process, with attention to their design and functionality to meet the needs of both organizers and attendees.

WiTCON 2024 is a tech conference event dedicated to empowering and showcasing the talents of Women in Technology. Attendees engaged in workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to inspire, educate, and foster a supportive community.

š Responsive Design: Implemented a responsive design to ensure a seamless user experience across various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
š Requirements Gathering: Collaborated with the WiCS FIU team to understand their requirements, ensuring that the website effectively communicated conference details and facilitated attendee engagement.
š Continuous Deployment: Established a continuous deployment pipeline, ensuring that changes and updates were automatically reflected on the live site hosted on GitHub Pages.
š Interactive Features: Integrated interactive features such as registration forms, speaker profiles, and a dynamic schedule, enhancing user engagement and providing a user-friendly experience.
